Driving up to ft worth from Austin and would like to hit something on way easily accessible from I 35 Waco and North could someone give me any recommendations or reports on lake waco, tradinghouse Creek, awyilla, Alvarado, etc... Or any other places fishing decent and worth stop appreciate any info guys

Also any smaller or less known bodies I'll be fishing out of bass buster w troll motor and launching no issue

Stop at Aquilla! I went last weekend fished about 4 hours and caught 6 fish ranging from 3# up to 6#

Dean74 that's actually just the response I was hoping for was leaning towards aqilla as I've wanted to fish it for awhile it would be first time even setting eyes on the lake could you offer any info on spots,baits, advice, anything would be appreciated I'll be in bass buster style boat so coves would preferable if it is a windy lake

Alvarado is a great lake that doesn't get near as much pressure
