I always struggle to catch fish in the winter months. What is your go to lure or favorite winter time lure for catching bass? Looking for ideas for stained water.

White/chartreuse spinner bait... Something to push water... Really like a chartreuse black back square bill too.

Viper XP Jig in purple passion in most East TX lakes but especially Lake Fork. Hard to beat.

As far as moving baits a lip-less crank bait will catch them on most lakes but I do like a Zman Chatter Bait with gold blades and chart/white skirt.

B/B jig with a little purple mix, white/chartreuse Chatterbait, Lipless cranking, all have been good in the past. This year weather patterns and water conditions really puts my abilities to test.

I knew that purple passion color would be a good one. LOL

In past years I've done best with a jig and a crankbait, but this winter I've been consistently catching nice fish slow rolling a big spinnerbait. Its my new "go-to" for winter

Fish Head Spin

I've done very well with these this Winter. You can go down the bank with these and catch fish or you can go out to a point, let it sink and slay 'em! These are the best underspins that I've used, they hold up well and the blade spins well at high or low speeds. They're very well made!

Zoom Super Fluke Jr.

Thread one of these on the back of the Fish Head Spin and go catch some fish! Everyone knows the Zoom Super Fluke Jr. is the mac daddy!

Keitech Swing Impact 4"

For those days when it's warmer and the sun is shining, thread one of these bad dudes on the back. They more action than the fluke but less action than the FAT Impact. These are great little swimbaits!

Be sure to stick to shad colors.
