Has anyone seen how the pressure at Squaw from Fri => Sat => Sun effects the bite?

If your hitting communtiy holes and the bank then yes, if not no don't notice a difference we had 20-30 fish sunday

Went Friday and the numbers were down but the quality was good! Had something like 11 fish for about 22-23lbs for best 5! 7 with a fish just shy of 6, one at 5 and a couple 4 lbers with some smaller fish mixed in! A lot of buddies completely struggled! I had to downsize big time from normal

I've heard the same thing but have yet to do it.

My buddy James and I fished Friday and had 25lbs on 5 fish. We only had 14/15 bites but they where the right bites.

I don't catch any fish on drop shot... Well I catch fish out there on it but they arent worth anything! I more power finesse fish out there! Try to find areas that aren't getting beat up every weekend

The secret is getting out

From what I've gathered, there are fish pretty much everywhere. But you have to kind of happen on the bigger schools cause they move daily... Or at least weekly. I've only been out once and it's an awesome lake. I can't wait to try it again.

The lake is simply awesome in the winter. I don't care what day you fish, it just doesn't matter. What changes the fishing patterns the most is really dictated by the winds. When it's blowing 25mph out of the North, you are really limited to where you can fish effectively. When it's out of the South I feel there is much more fishable water, but that really means it's warmer. When your fishing a point in the wind and it's 25mph out of the south and it's 50 degrees, its OK, but take that north wind at 25mph and it's 40 degrees, its miserable. I don't think it affects the fishing, just your mind set. I've fished it 15 times this year and have yet to not catch at least 15 fish, but my average size has gone down this year versus last. Last year I caught some serious stringers out there - they have not shown back up in those spots this year, so I'm having to learn more spots. I keep going back to those same spots, cause I know they should show back up, but to no avail yet. Back in November I got on a top water bite that was producing 20lb stingers before 9:00 am but that has gone away for now.

Yep. Seems like that topwater bite shuts off about 10 minutes after the sun hits the horizon. On my previous trip, which was my first, I caught two in the first 6 casts on topwater and then it just shut completely down. I'm going to do my best to avoid community holes and I think I have a good game plan for the couples tournament this weekend. I'm hoping I don't have to drop down to a number 22 hook and mayfly larvae to catch some decent fish.
