Went out to do some scouting and look for new patterns. Was able to find a solid jig bite around the 5 ft depth range around vegetation in the stained water. No real bigguns but some fun solid slot fish. I was catching these fish on a 1/2 oz mpack flipping jig in black blue with a rage craw trailer. They were crushing it when they hit it. If you are a shallow water hound like I tend to be maybe this can help give you an alternative to the deep stuff everybody else is doing right now. If I can help you in any way on your next Lake Fork trip, let me know. Here's the best of the day.

Sweet man... Speaking of deep stuff I just spent about an hour looking at Navionics on my iPhone. Was trying to locate some not so obvious spots in 20 - 30 feet deep. Thinking of hitting up some crappie this weekend also.

Thanks man and I read a post yesterday on here in the Crappie section about them being at 40' on Fork. Those deep spots I was looking at are for bass fishing. I found a few areas in the main lake I want to graph. I may just find some shallow vegetation and flip it though after seeing that pig you caught haha.
