May fish some charity tournaments this coming year and Would like opinions on what you guys think is the best net? Never had one, but I am told they are a must have for tournaments?

Get one with a thick mesh rubber netting. It is faster to get the hook free. Get the largest net that will easily stow in your boat. Make sure the length is long enough to dip in the water without leaning too far. Extendable handles are nice...

Frabill is a good brand (if not a bit expensive).

There are knock-offs that work pretty good...

EDIT:
This is the economy model I use, and I can vouch that it will float for a short time, but long enough to recover if you are quick!

I like a deeper squared bottom (Conservation Series).

Ego nets are nice. Go with the deep rubber basket. Makes getting the crank bait out much easier.

Tacklewarehouse has them. They should be 20% off on Friday.

I had the S2 Slider . It was nice but the handle just didn't hold up. Now I just have the standard one. They claim to have made the Slider handle 2X as strong. I might have to get another to try.
