Had a really fun day with 'Whatsaweighin' on Squaw Creek today. Fine young fella, pretty weather, nice rig and fish were co-operating!
Water was warm, but neither of the reactors were running so, I guess from what I was told, a little cooler than usual.
Temp ranged from 84 to 89 degrees.
Fished up in the creek, lower then on the lake, did especially well on 'Fish Killers' secret spot..... roflmao
Hugh caught 8 or 9, 3 of which being 3/4 lbs and several just under that. All over the lake....biting from shallow to deep.
I caught 2 were just under 3 lbs, a couple more just less than that and then some 'links'.
Man, not me but Hugh caught a HUGE Talapeiah (sp), both hands together would be a good guide on how big that thing was! But, it was just the one...as we were looking in many places all over the lake for larger BB.
I know it was not a 'good' day for a tournament fisherman but, this old guy had good company and a good time
Tournament there tomorrow, for a Friday there were about 15 boats on the water and I was told normally there are less than that, but more than a few were there pre-fishing for the tournament.
I got to see a LOT of 'secret spots'.... roflmao, only problem....my memory is only good for about 4 hours....LOL, so everything is more than safe....
Thanks all...ya'll go fishing...even being a hot water lake, they ARE biting there. You'll have a good time.
God Bless

Neither had I. I thought it truly was only good/decent fishing in the cold weather months. Not so.....Water felt like warm bathwater but, electronics and catching surely proved that a wrong assumption.
Go, enjoy....you will be more than pleased.
Take a small square bill, Texas rig worm, and Colorado rig with small creature bait with something along the line of a 1 oz weight, swivel, bead and make it about 2-3' long.
God Bless

Was fortunate enough to have a good fisherman act as a 'guide' .....showed me a lot of spots to fish, along with some
'secret' spots... roflmao ,well so much for that one. Already forgotten.....Lord, this CRS stuff is killing me. Within 4 hours....it's a 'brand new day' .....Ain't getting older Grand?

banana Ok, two answers: 1. no sir...like to but, wow, $30 a pop to launch and ONLY on Friday/Sat/Sun...no sir, but a good lake.
2. Yes sir....not sure Whatsweighin (Hugh) has such a great time...God Bless him, he was so busy running all over the lake showing this old fart where to fish....and trying his best to put me on a 5b'r ...but, yes, I had a great time.
But, any day on the lake with friends is a great day....yessir, thoroughly enjoyed myself.
God Bless
