I have a small kayak tourney coming up on Fork and would like to find somewhere in Fort Worth that has good timber so I can get a feel for fishing it.I won't be able to get out to Lake Fork before hand. Never really fished timber before, as I always fishing the Trinity downtown. I was thinking Benbrook down south? Any tips would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about the timber. Look for the other structure like points, creek channels, brush piles, grass lines. Fish patterns. If there is timber around other structure your fishing then give it a few casts. But I wouldn't focus on timber on Fork. Its everywhere you go. From my limited experience on lakes with a lot of timber the fish will follow similar patterns as other lakes without it.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Joe Pool has lots of timber off of main lake, don't hold much fish but I pulled a few off yesterday.

imagine the timber isn't there, fish the bottom contours.
