My son is in town & I'm taking him bass fishing on Joe Poole Thursday. Few questions. Since it opened where is the best place to launch. Lynn Creek or Lloyd Park? Are both open early(6:30am), price and is the Oasis restaurant open for lunch now? Any help on bass fishing would be great also. Thank you, 361v.

Both are open, go to Lynn on weekdays, its not crowded. Both should be open at 6:30. Its $10 to launch at Lynn. I heard Oasis is now open. Might call about lunch, they should be though. Bass fishing will be good. 30-50 fish days. Mostly 10 inchers. They will hit anything right now. Drop shot, shakey head, C-Rig, T-Rig, Pick your favorite! Also keep an eye out for schoolers. I caught about 10 back to back casts last week in 1 ft water.

Lynn Creek looks good. Was there today working on my boat. Oasis is open but last I heard they had a limited menu. I get emails from them since I store my boat there and that is the last info I have received.

Lynn creek is open but the ramp by the Oasis doesnt have much of a courtesy dock...so launching from one one of the ramps east of there is easier..The Oasis is open had lunch there last week complete menu..usual slow service..but they have expanded their outdoor seating...Loyd park is also open and has a good courtesy dock ..both are open at 630 but I have found in the past week that the early bite isnt any better...but have consistently caught fish all day long...most fish have been on points or in the back of coves and shallow...$10 launch fee at all Grand Prairie locations, I dont think the State Park is open yet..

loyd park has the gate manned 24 hrs so if you want to go earlier they have a good dock.
