Alright fellers here's the deal. We just sold my wife's car and pocketed a good bit of cash. My off base commander (wife) has ordered me to blow 1000 bucks. She said she's tired of being responsible with our money. Keep in mind my vehicles are paid of, most went toward the skeeter, and some went to savings. I'm not boasting that I have a lot of money I'm in the military and make a decent paycheck trust me I'm not loaded. So I'm a bargain buyer I own only h20 ethos rods and the tfo rod I got at the skeeters owners tourney. I'm thinking put falcon low riders on my Lews reels or save a few more hundred buck and put a fortrex on the zx 190 and upgrade from the edge. I'm a tight butt and rarely buy new boots. My wife said to spend the money. Lol I'm honestly in a bind. Ps a new rifle (7mm08) sounds cool too. What would you do?

Keep the money for when the next unexpected boat repair is needed or you drop a rod overboard, but that is just me.

52 112 fortrex and another battery. Never worry about waves or running out of juice again. And thank you for your service! 🇺🇸

Brad your thinking just like i do. But she really wants me to spend this money, she says it will be healthy for me. Lol i know it sounds crazy but she says " you never buy anything for yourself" but I'm a man that's easily satisfied. Kinda like my old man. I always thought he was crazy but I guess I turned out the same way.

Chassinbass I was looking at the 80# and thank you.

Trust your gut feeling and save it! Always need an emergency fund and being a boat owner you'll have a need sooner or later!

A good used Mexican Strat with a tube amp. Then, some new line for the reels and a few new baits. That's what I would do.

Buy a couple rods and reels, and take her out somewhere fancy for dinner and drinks.

Thanks guys, I reckon I'm going to upgrade to the fortrex from the edge. I mean 90% of our money is made running the tm. The thing I hate the most about the edge is 4 is not enough to push the boat in high winds and 5 will throw you off the deck.

Fortrex. Look for a special rebate coming up. I know they use to run them frequently.

is the foretrex the one that puts your boat on a spot and keeps it there?

if not you might want to look into one of them. It's almost as good as one of them automatic anchors I see hanging on the back of bass boats these days..

Yes turn this back toward her and buy her something and take her out. Always keep in mind that if a woman tells you to blow $1000 it could be a trap.
