He claimed his tires where in slime on the ramp and it just slid back, but his tires shouldn't have even been in the water so he was way to far back.

This is what they all say. Slime on the ramp...I never had a problem as long as you put it in PARK before you get out. I have seen this twice before. One time I was able to even get my rig on the trailer cause the dude was so far in the water. I sat and waited for the tow truck to arrive. Nothing beats seeing them open the doors after being under water for a while.

Easy to "armchair quarterback" someone else's screw-up but I have always minimized the odds of this happening by always putting the tow vehicle into neutral and let gravity back you down the ramp. Regardless of what they say this happens more times than not because someone hits the gas instead of the brake. No reason to leave the truck in reverse after starting down the ramp. Seems silly to some but this easy step takes a lot of the chance of "Human error" out of the simple equation of loading/unloading a boat.
