Fishing about as tough right now as I've ever seen it and I've been here since 78. Everyone I talk to says the same thing which, I guess, is why I've seen only 5 fishing boats this entire weekend

This exactly. Maybe I need to string all the 10 inchers I catch together to feel like I'm reeling in something big.

EM changes hourly and if you don't adapt with them in the summer months you will struggle the fish are positioned differently in the mornings then they are when its hot and sunny. That's how I have been catching them real good, cause it's putting them positioned right.

I'm with Branden. EM is typically better once the sun gets up and hot. Hardly ever do well in the morning out there.

Is the north end still a mudhole?

Glad it has cleared up. Those fish have got to be up there somewhere. Probably gonna head out there this weekend to see if I can find them!

It will be packed Saturday. I know of two bass tournaments at least on the lake Saturday. Then add the lake lice and jet fleas.

I've only been on the lake once and had to stick to the south end because I was scared to run up north without knowing the lake. Is it a pretty easy run to the north end or do I really need to learn it before I head up that way?

Now the water is up to normal pool or so it's not a bad run at all... Just stay to the right of the island to be safe heading north.

I've been on them pretty good in party cove. I sit next to the main point with my talons down and fish the deep to shallow. Also found them in the flooded grass on the secondary point that divides the two creeks. Don't go any further into the creeks that the point or you'll waste you time. Speed craw in junebug is usually the lure of choice.

Stuck'em pretty good from 6-1130 this morning. Fish were active and chasing bait. 11 fish total, only 3 keepers but 2 of the 3 were over 5 pounds. Had a family on a dock take a photo but I'm unsure how to upload it. Shallow running crankbaits.
