This is my 8 pound 13 ounce 23.5 inch slot fish from the Lake Fork Open this weekend. A half inch longer and we would have had a total of 18.25 pounds for the 2 days, taking first. Ended up in 6th with 9.93 as our total. It was a hard thing to let that fish go

Good fish. She looks healthy! The slot will break you a lot more than it makes you, but when it does work out in your favor, it will make for a great day! Just keep at it.

Nice fish. Without the slot I don't think the ole girl would be 1/4 the lake she is. I just go there to get bruises on my ribs from my rodbutt, catch a bunch of toads, chat with people that are right up my alley, eat like a king, and oh my the pie!

Great fish and yes it hurts to catch those in a tourney. That what Fork is all about though. I fished a team event several years ago and we had over 100 pounds then went to weigh in with one Under.

Great fish man and good job on the finish! Fish of a life time. Fork is the beast you try to tame but no matter what the conditions she throws more curveballs but that's what keeps people coming back from all over the world.

It's no fluke that all 3 of us have done that 100 lb thing HUH Zach.... In fact I know a number of people that have done that, interesting stat Ken... thumb

IMO, the fishery hardly compares to Lake Fork of 90s. I prefer several other ETX lakes before risking a "Fork" in the eye.
