I got some crummy news and was in a funk this weekend. Splurging on some new gear at Cabela's seemed to be in order but thinking about the credit card bill was almost enough to keep me from pulling the trigger on a new pair of Costas and a St Croix Avid. Almost. Got to the cash register and didn't have my Cabelas Card so I was going to miss out on the points too, but the cashier said they were running a special promo that allowed him to give 10 random customers the employee discount, I was expecting some kind of gimmick but the young man rang up my total at the price marked on my items, applied the discount and I saved a little more than $100. Costas (glass lenses) were priced at $250 got 'em for $186.

Anyway, I maybe could have found them in that price range online etc. but it's not often an impulse buy turns into a good deal and brightens the day, thanks Cabelas!
