Just wondering some favorites rods for lipless cranking around grass using probably 3/4 to 1oz. Thanks for your inputs.

Dobyns Champion 734c

Long rod, great backbone and superior sensitivity.

I use a Dobyns Champion 765 CB glass for traps and it works great.

This is a very tall order. We need the best. Get me MacGruber.

Another vote for the Dobyns Champion 734. GREAT rod for ripping traps out of grass and all-around rod to boot. You can use it several applications. Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.. I am sure the Dobyns Glass rod would be good, too, but I have never thrown it.

Do an archive search on this topic. You'll find multiple threads. Powell Max 705 for me. Best I've ever used.

A couple of the responses mentioned the Falcon Bucco Trapcaster and I agree with this but I wouldn't use this for 1 oz lures. 1/4 - 1/2 oz definitely. 3/4 oz maybe. Anything heavier no way!
