Im going to be down in Conroe and wanting to fish Lake Conroe a little bit in the evenings. Looking for some tips and places i can and can't run etc. Never been on the lake and know almost nothing about it. Thanks in advance.

We fish almost exclusively north of 1097 bridge. You can put in at Stowaway.

Do NOT try to run north of 1097 if you do not know where you are going.

Also agree. If you plan on fishing down South good luck on the weekend. You will be wanting to strangle somebody within 10 minutes due to all the idiots and very inconsiderate pleasure boaters. During the week or early early on weekends is about the only time you can fish down on the South end. You can also run up around StowAway Marina and fish without too much traffic. Best advice is to launch at StowAway as RHP said and stay away from the South end unless its during the week. I will be off all next week and most likely be fishing almost every day if the weather plays nice. Shoot me a PM if you plan on fishing during the week
