Looking to buy a new c-rig rod. Any suggestions on length, brand, and action?

Phenix Ultra MBX

I am strictly a Dobyns guy. However, IMO, I feel Dobyn's doesn't have a C-Rig rod suitable for me. I'd strongly suggest the UMBX-707H. I promise you'll like it.

Power Tackle 104 7'6 for big boy c-rigging. Light c-rig I love their 7'3" football jig rod.

I've tried them all. I use Dobyns for everything else.

That's really interesting. I used a bunch of different rods, including the Lizard Dragger mentioned above, before I went to Dobyns and I've used nothing but the Champion 764C since and absolutely think it's perfect for me and I throw a c-rig more than I probably should. I do find a lot of guys like the 804 for the extra casting distance and ability to make up more line slack on a hook set, but my orangutan arms combined with an 8' rod and a 3-5 foot leader would be VERY dangerous for someone on the back of my boat. Trust me on this.
