Do you guys use one brand or multiple brands? They all seem to have a different vibration to them. I think after my last trip I might start keeping two different ones rigged up

All I've ever used is Z man brand and don't see any reason to change.

Most often I've thrown Z Man. I've also liked the Phenix and Picasso and will mix those in.

I have not liked Strike King's Pure Poison (wouldn't rip through grass for me) or the Revenge Viberator (didn't love the action).

Prefer the Z Man too.

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Zman smaller chatterbaits work well. However, if you like a larger weight, I would recommend a few other brands. Nutech and Jigs-4-bass make great versions. I personally throw a 3/4oz white with a swimbait trailer from Jigs-4-bass with the XL blade on it. It's got a 5/0 hook and swims extremely well. It's all about what you feel is best for your style.

I love to "flip" the Zman in marina's....works very well in that scenario

Tons of companies are making them, they just cant advertise it because ZMan will send a cease and desist order real quick like to anyone that starts moving a decent amount of these baits. Its to bad really because a couple of companies really created some killer bladed jigs with top notch components that would put the cheap arse product Zman produces to shame.

SO cheap, yet have caught 1000s of fish. . .as you can see there are still some very bitter people who don't like the fact that Z Mam protects their intellectual property, despite the fact that they'd do the same thing. Anyone would. If you invent something and see people ripping it off right and left, you ask them to quit. If they don't, you go thru the courts.

I like the Z Man too but I found another one and I like it a little better and haven't had to use a trailer with them.. Get them from J-mac lures, same place I get my Sensation worms from. Here's a link.

LOL. Not bitter at all, just wish I could get this particular bait with the right head, hook, and blade instead of the cheapest stuff that can be put together for maximum profit. thumb Heck, I can go to APT right now and find more than one mom and pop bait company selling MUCh better quality baits than ZMan for darn near the same price or cheaper in some instances. Also, food for thought... Zman did not invent the chatterbait they simply were the first to get a patent on it.... though the original inventors "dad" did help with the first prototype. So did Strike King change their design or did ZMAN realize that Strike King could afford to spend more on Lawyers than they could?
