Powell 755 can be found on sale for ~150-160. Excellent all around rod for medium divers.

TFO GTS CB704-1...great crankbait rod and if yu want something a little heavier the GTS CB794 is 7'9 and handles big cranks. I have them both instock and can work you a great deal.

Sheakspear Ugly Stik---- I have landed several 6s & even a 7 pounder on it.
Caught my 4.5 at Tawakoni in Bass Champs tourny that vaulted us into a 8th place finish.
That was using a wacky Senko. With a crank bait it is FANtastic

Most irrelevant answer ever..... BPS cranking stick, halo cranking rod, Tatula all are good

I have the crankin stick micro from bps in 7'10" MH and handles 6XDs with ease. I really like it. You can get one a bit shorter or in a different action to accommodate for your preferences. The rod is great, I think you will like it.

+1 for the Powell 755. The Powell 6104 is a good choice as well.

THIS IS THE BEST CRANKBAIT ROD ON THE MARKET FOR UNDER 125$!!! It is the lews tournament sl micro guide casting rod. Get the 7' mh power moderate action if you can still find them. Lews stopped making them but I managed to get 4 before they stopped making them. (Yes 4 because they are that amazing. They are so light and durable.) I would check eBay and online.!!!! The Product number is TSCC70MHMC !!!!
Trust me this rod is amazing. I know a good CRANKBAIT rod because they are my favorite thing to throw, and this is beyond a good rod, it's a perfect one.

I use this^ for my square bills and anything up to 12' in diving depth. If u want to go deeper than that go with a longer rod. But it really the best rod on the market for square bills.
