Hey guys! Longtime creeper on the board ever since I was researching guides for trip to Falcon a couple of years ago, but finally made the leap and created an account. I find lots of good info on this board and wish my home state of KY had a forum similar to this for sharing knowledge. It is the time of year that a lot of my bass fishing clubs start with night tournaments and I am going to be spooling up for some fun in the dark. I have tried several fluorescent lines for use with a black light (love watching my line), but I have yet to settle in on a favorite line. I have tried several different braided lines that were supposed to be fluorescent but all of them failed to meet my standards (most were no better than using clear fluorocarbon). I was a big fan of Sufix Elite clear blue but for some reason they quit making it a couple of years ago. I have been using Berkley Trilene XL clear blue the last couple of years but thought you all might know of something better to fit my needs. I will be using some braid on some of my night gear just because the sensitivity is unparalleled as far as lines go. So let me hear your all's thoughts on the best line for fishing at night. Thanks!

For a blacklight I would use stren clear blue fluorescent. It looks like well rope under a blacklight

Thanks for the response. I have used Stren some in the past and have not been real impressed. It does glow well under the light but it has a lot of stretch and seems to break fairly easy compared to other lines I have tried. Has anyone tried McCoy's co-polymer or P-Line CXX in clear blue?

I like p-line premium clear fluorescent. It's a copolymer that is easily visible under black light.

You'll be able to see it well but that stuff stretches like a danged rubber band!
