I'm trying to enter a list of waypoints but the unit is set for degrees and minutes and the list expressed in decimals. How do I get the 997 into decimal mode?

You will have to go into the setup and change the format on your 997,but you can go on line and use a lat/long converter and change them to the 997 format(this is what I do),or you can down load humminbird pc and enter them and it will change them and you can put them on a SanDisk card and download them to your humminbird.

Thanks. Finally got the setup changed and entered them manually. Not familiar with the Humminbird menu, but got help. My buddies boat and we will use it this weekend.
