Threw it back because it was small and you cant cull a dead fish if it dies. Pretty bold strategy. If he ends with 4 and loses by around a pound he will be a long time hearing about it.

It wasn't hooked bad or anything that would have made you worry it may die either.

Just threw it back in. Never was in the well. No way I would ever do that.

Worked for him no doubt.

Have made that mistake before early in the day, had been on real good fish previously and threw back 3-4 14" ers fist thing in the morning.

ended up only weighin in 3 fish 5, 4.5 and a 3 something. Missed a check by a pound.

Havent done that again.

I did throw a keeper away after it had been in the box a little while at another event. Was my 5th fish and it was like 1:00.

There had been some dq's for short fish previously and i had to turn it just right to get it to measure, i didn't want to take the chance of a GW stoping me before weigh in and not trying as hard as i did to measure, or have a board slightly off from mine so i chunked it.

Missed a check by ounces. But that was better than a short fish fine. I wasn't worried about him weighin short at the weigh in, just a GW. They were looking for short fish becasue of the DQ's the past couple of tourneis
