Anybody got one yet? Thinking about buying one for when the wife or kids want to go out with me.

Do you need any other components to add one of these to a setup with a single HDS5 w/LSS.

You need to have the nmea 2000 net work to be able to run the sonic hub to the HDS unit.

From the website, it says:
"Connected either directly to a single Lowrance HDS display or to multiple HDS displays via a NMEA 2000 network, SonicHub allows the boater to control their onboard music components from any high-resolution display in the boat."
This leads me to believe that if you only have 1 HDS unit, it can connect directly. Is this not the case if you have an LSS unit also?

Ok, I think I completely misunderstood the nmea 2000 network. Is there not a separate "box" that the network line connects to? For some reason I thought there was a separate networking "hub" that had to be connected. Is it just the nmea 2000 cable with tee's connected to each device?

Yeah, I got it now. Thanks.
For some reason I thought there was a completely separate box that had to be connected that managed the traffic. Not sure why I thought that. Now I understand that every device has the communication stuff built in and just needs the nmea cables connecting it all with tee's and terminators on each end.

To add... looks like I'm getting a SonicHub. The only thing was stopping me before was thinking I needed something else to go with it. Now I just have to find a good place to buy one, and figure out where I'm going to mount it and the speakers.

I love mine. I get a little interference from trolling motor when listening to the radio radio, but that is my only complaint. It's a cool piece of gear.

Just got mine. I can see it picking my Ipod up on my display but can't get it to play. Just need to play with it a little more.
