 Where to buy crawfish in DFW

We are planning a crawfish boil in a few weeks and need a bug supply. Where is the best place to get some near the Dallas area, or do I need to plan a road trip?

We used to buy them by the sack in Richardson at an oriental grocery store. Work the phone and see if you can find them. I was in Houston last week and they are plentiful and relatively cheap.

Thanks Chief, I've been online searching and tried a few of the seafood markets TJ's, Rex's and came up with none so far. One place in Lewisville has them at 3.25 a pound but that seems pretty high.

Do you have an HEB near you? I'm not sure where the nearest HEB is but I'll look them up. Also, I read Kroger sells them during the season so I'm going to call them.

FYI, to anyone planning a boil all the markets I've tried are saying the season ended early.

Fiesta Mart used to sell live crawfish in season. There are two or three of them in FW.

I think your to late. All the suppliers I have checked with said season ended early.

Crawfish season usually ends around July 4th. I would make a road trip to Circle M crawfish in Big Sandy.. Call ahead to make sure they're available!
