Caught some crappie 2 days ago and it has partially thawed out.

Can I safely refreeze it to eat later?

If it still has ice crystals or is vacuum packed it’s fine. Otherwise it may take a small hit but refreeze it and mark it for gumbo.

You will be fine, put it back in the freezer

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
