I have owned this boat for about 5 years & never added fluid to the system. It began to be sluggish while raising it. So I added fluid & that was what she needed. However, must have left out an o-ring or washer & can not seem to find where one goes. It is leaking where the screw on cap is where the fluid is added. The engine is a 130 HP Honda, but the trim mechanism looks identical to the ones found on Yamahas.

Yes there is an o-ring in the cap. Guessing about 3/8ths i.d.You could take the cap to a hardware store and get one.

Thanks Gary. I can see the o-ring in the cap & have not removed it yet. It must be deteriorated due to old age.

Yamaha is bad on seals, replace them.
