Does a Mercury Optimax 115 HP 2 stroke engine have an alternator?

Several people have told me it does and several have said it doesn't. I have a Mercury service manual for 115, 135, 150, 175 Optimax DFI starting model year 2000. My engine was made in 2011. If it does have an alternator then I would like to see something on paper showing that it does if someone can provide the proof.

Take the cowling off and see if there is an alternator? I assume it does... it's a new opti

Every Optimax I have worked on has a alternator and I have work on hell of a lot The air compressor and alternator is belt driven....OPTI

Every Optimax I have worked on has a alternator and I have work on hell of a lot The air compressor and alternator is belt driven....OPTI I was simply pointing out what he was asking for. Take a pill.
