Is the safety kill fob plugged in to someone's life jacket instead of the safety switch?

Is the safety kill fob plugged in to someone's life jacket instead of the safety switch? Doubtful the motor is running with the kill switch pulled.

My vote is overheating then If the wee-wee stream is coming out it can still overheat if the water valve is stuck. They plug up with dirt and all kinds of stuff sometimes. Might take it apart and have a look-see.

Motors often have more than one thermostat valve. Either in malfunction could limit cooling water such that the motor overheats, but still has enough flow for the tell-tale stream.
Owners of outboards who ask "why is that alarm going off?" but continue to operate it better have a good source of repair revenue. Owners should try reading the owner's manual once in a while. There's a reason they bother to provide one!

Have the same motor and you will get a beep when it's low on oil in the tank in the compartment and when it's hot. When's the last time the water pump was changed? If I'd idle for 10 minutes it would get hot. Changed the water pump problem solved... Next year same beep and checked the oil level problem solved.
