Any day on the water is a blessing, even mixed with power plant issues.

Anyone have any experience with 2014 250 PXS high idle while in neutral (1k-1.5k) combined with strong smell of fuel / rich idle exhaust?

Still runs on point wide open & cruising, but start up idle is pulsing from 1-1.5 and can only be stopped if shut off and restarted?

Do not touch the throttle (hot foot) while starting this motor. If you do the ECM will send all kinds of strange signals to the motor. Other problem is make sure the throttle cable is adjusted to the idle stop or it can do the same thing. Battery size is very important 1000 cca minimum. Reason being that the alternator will not charge the battery under low rpm usage on these motors. Has to be turning 2300+ rpm to charge the cranking battery. These motors use a lot of electricity while running. Have seen problems with guys trolling or searching with their FF for extended periods. Good Luck
