I am looking for some guidance. I have a Nitro 482 with a Merc 115 and a 22p laser prop. I don't have an Rpm guage working right now but I have some other details: boat is 1350# loaded with gear and myself, 3/4 tank gas and empty live well, boat comes on plane with no issue. My concern is when another adult male and a full livewell are added to the equation, I can't hardly get on plane and with an empty live well, it still takes a long time to get out of the hole. Is there someone who can spool me up on the correct set up with my prop (pvs) or if I need to change the 22p out

You are underpowered is most of your problem....a 6" jack plate and some work on your prop might help.... I have a laser II that Steve B&Bed and cupped.....felt like I got a new motor.... 22 P is the right prop for the motor....you want to turn 5850 or 5900 wide open.

yea, I figured most my problems are because the hull is not maxed out to the HP rating. It's perfect for just me which is how I fish 80% of the time but man it sure would be nice to hop up on plane with no effort while I have a loaded LW and another anger! I'll check out steves in hopes of a cheap alternative to a new 150!
