I had a merc 150 and used a 23p and that did well for me but a 26p seems to be a little big. Not sure because i'm not a prop wizard but i'd sure check around.

I appreciate the insight and reply brother. I'm running a 23p at 5800 rpm. I'd like to knock it down to 5600 with a 24p. I have a line on a 26p I'm wondering if I get her worked to a 24p. I've heard you can only change it +/- 1.

Before you spend any money I recommend talking to Josh at Steve's Custom Props.

^^^^^This^^^^^ Had Steve and Josh blueprint A 23 pitch Trophy for 180ZX Skeeter Rpms went from 5800 to 5600 on 150 Merc. Boat has never run this good also added 8" Rapid Jack Plate. Those 2 simple changes made a world of difference can't thank those guys enough. Just had it out on 30 mile run 15 out 15 back boat rode high and dry got loose at full trim just the way I like it.

Most props can only be re-pitched 1 up or 1 down.

YOu need either a 23p pro series or a 23 tempest. A 24 would not get you to where you need to be and you can only work a prop safely up or down 1 degree of pitch.
