I have a 1998 Skeeter with surge breaks. When I bought the boat from the previous owner the brake lines were completely empty. I refilled the lines to see if the brakes were still functional, but the actuator just moves freely anytime I hit the brakes on my truck. Is there something simple to fix this, or will it require mounting a whole new actuator system on the front of my trailer. Thanks!

I just replaced everything inside the hitch on mine......master cylinder, shock, cable, linkage etc. My actuator was made by Atwood and I got all the parts on Amazon. I used the curved end of a crowbar in the hitch to bleed them.

I replaced all my brake system on my 05 skeeter. Only thing I didn't replace was rotors. Run me about 400.00 total for everything brand new.

If it has been setting dry it is best to do as johnny123 did. Everything will be full of rust.
