i just bought a 1994 champion 191, starting the refurb process and need advice on carpet i dont know what weight to use so the rod boxes will close correctly does anyone know proper weight and quality brand name carpet i dont want to do this twice

There's a guy in the classified section that recarpets boats. Send him a PM and ask, he'll know. I don't think that you have to worry,that they'll be snug for awhile but will be just fine with heavier carpet. I just bought a 94 176. I'd like to see some under seat pics of yours when you remove the seats. I have a dealers brochure that shows under seat storage but the way my seats are mounted, I can't tell if it is under there or not and would like to know before I start unbolting seats.

i dont have to do the seats but mine has a fuel tank under the bench seat and in the rear
