I have them little,sob in my boat,maybe carpenter ants.Remember yrs ago dad would set of a bug bomb in out shed for critters,can I set of one of these bombs in my boat under the cover?

I had carpenter ants infest my boat and used the real kill bug bombs...but I put them in the bilge so it would fumigate inside the hull...the gas used in these bombs is flammable so make sure no sparks from lights etc... I disconnected my battery...ants poured out everywhere. I used one then waited several hours and used another..after the third bomb there was no sign of any more ants. I have a number of trees at my home and park my boat with a cover under one of my large trees. My exterminator told me the ants drop out of the tree onto the boat. I used Terex ant powder around the tree and got rid of the ants. Make sure you find out where they are coming from and eliminate the source as well...or they will just come back.
