Vacation starts this weekend, and of course my motor crapped on me this past Sunday. I dropped my boat off at a shop yesterday, who promised they would have the boat diagnosed yesterday and back to me by Thursday, assuming they have parts. Well as of right now, they still haven't even looked at it. I understand that they are busy, just irritated that I was told the boat would at least be diagnosed by the end of the day yesterday. Starting to worry they will keep putting me off and ill be without my boat for our vacation. Are there any shops that could get to my issue right away?

was running across the lake sunday in rough water for aprox 3 miles, let off the throttle a bit and suddenly lost power. it was like it was running on 2 cylinders. tested compression and everything is 110-116. starboard side not firing off. was told it could need a new ECU, but still dont know as they havent actually looked at it yet.

I see a big problem here because the HPDI doesn`t fire on those 3 cylinders when at idle. You quite possibly could have a bad throttle sensor or a bad ground at the injector driver or ECU.

Interesting. It's still with them and I'm hoping they hooked it up and will have some info for me tomorrow. I hope you're right as far as it just being a ground. With the throttle engaged, it wasn't firing on those 3 sides. I thought that 4 cylinders ran while in nuetral?

Gary, its looking like you were on point on the bad ground at the ECU. there's not enough voltage going to the ECU. should know more today.
