Looking at buying a new boat this spring/summer and was wondering how much are dealers willing to come off of the sticker price. I was quoted 46k over the phone on a 2015 rig, and was wondering what would be a good price to shoot for. Thanks.

A phone quote is a high ball price and there is room to wiggle. Lots of variables, the dealer, time of the year, is the dealer moving boats or, are they sitting on his lot eating up his floor plan. If he's moving boats, there's not much incentive to deal. If he is the only dealer for many miles selling what you want, there's no incentive to deal. If he has an overstock of last years boats, it might be good for you. It's a lot like buying a car. He doesn't have to sell for a lot over invoice to make a profit. Now, finding out what his invoice is might be tough. Watch out for the add-ons, extended warranties, especially third party and make sure the price you are quoted is out the door. I think most dealers are honest, but every industry has it's charlatans and if you ge burned, it's tough to go back and try to fix it.
I think Pat Goff owned a dealership or at least ran a few and maybe he'll chime in here with some better advice.

If your in the DFW area, take a look at North Texas Marine, good folks, will even let you test drive before you buy.
