from what i've seen about the verado is ... it's kinda of a turd on low end power.
no running issues.
bet you'll be running a 24p prop to get it going.
don't be afraid to turn that motor 6000 to 6400 rpms. that's where it likes to run.

I've been running a Verado for the last two years and it's been great. Mine is only a 225, but It's definitely not a turd on low end power. It gets my Ranger 619VS on plan very quickly and it's a pretty heavy boat. The Verado is one of Mercury's flagship engines. If anything goes wrong with one they jump right on it. Get it check out by a good Verado certified tech.
