Ok guys hopefully I can get some help here. I have a 95 mariner magnum 200 efi. I've had it for a couple years now and it runs great. The oil injection is still in use at this time. Which has not posed any sort of problem but I was advised by a couple of people that that's just a blown motor waiting to happen being that the plastic gear that runs the oiler is known to fail and chances are that it would be too late. So what is the best method to disconnect it? I've seen the block off plates but I'm not wanting to get in the motor to do all of that. Should I just remove the lines and cap off in the inlets or just reroute the oiler back to the tank and let it continue to work but mix my own fuel? I'm not familiar with that system so I just didn't know if I starved the pump if that will cause that part to fail and shred. Any advice is appreciated.

pull the pump out and get the block off kit.
pre mix your oil and your good to go.

the block off kit has a rod that goes down and contacts the gear on the crankshaft.
no need to go into the motor.

i've done that to every 200 efi i've had when running pro stock.

Thank you sir! I had gotten confused with all the forums I've read. Cut and dry works the best for me. Also I purchased a jack plate from you last year for my Champion. Worked out great. Thanks for the advice.
