I have a good lower unit off a 150 for sale, if you are interest, $650 and it is not a aftermarket and will bolt right on without messing with the drive shaft The aftermarkets are a great deal and I sell a bunch of them and, they come with a three year warranty I don't think the quality is as good as the OEM but they are getting much better The price for the SEI is $845 plus $55 for freight. You have to pull your drive shaft out of your unit and use it or get one from them for $149. You also have to use your water pump assy

Pard by the time you get a used lower ready to put on, unless you do everything yourself, the SEI is the way to go. Yours should have the 2 piece drive shaft and you use your shift shaft. Hint screw shift shaft all in then back it out 6 rounds or it won`t shift right.

Yes plan on doing some of the work myself. Does anyone know if a 1995 225hp lower unit with match up and work?
