My horn makes so little sound I think I need to replace it. Any suggestions??

Check and see if it a directional horn mounted on the front bow of the boat. If so, then I could barely hear mine when seated in the drivers seat running down the lake but if I stood in front of the boat and had somebody push the horn button it was plenty loud.

Have to have one to be legal, or at least a whistle as I understand it...

I used my horn all the time when running down crowded lakes like Travis and Lake Austin. Never thought twice about blowing the horn just to let a big wakeboard boat know I was going to pass them...

yeah I have a whistle on my keys, and a little airhorn in the console... better be one heck of a horn for those drunk ding-dongs on that wakeboat to hear it over the 350,000 watts of speakers blasting.

but then again you will hardly catch me on a crowded lake,

Very easy to replace with a standard horn. I have done it several times. Type that is made with the bow light. 90 degree aluminum mounted to bow U bolt and horn. It is plenty loud mounted inside.
