I heard a Mercury Prop will fit and work on a Yamaha?

Generally yes from what I know, I think it mostly the 150 plus motors

both same spline count.
be carefull what HP and gear case size.. as they use different components to mount
and secure prop.
all sizes pretty much the same. except the smaller 4 strokes mercs.
