Ok, need some guidance here. I've have a project boat, a 1997 Sprint 207. On the main drain, I believe there is supposed to be some type of tube? There is nothing lining the hole. I was going to put a screw type gar board plug fitting on the outside, but I'm concerned about this hole. I don't like the exposed wood in it. Do I need to get one of the flanged type brass tubes, flare it, then put the garboard plug outside it? I read a couple posts about cutting a piece of pvc, but I'd just as soon do it right. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any input.
