Hey guys been having an issue with getting on plain Just had fuel pump overhauled ran fine before, Inspected plugs found one bad thaught that was the fix replaced all six, helped some. Ran sea foam yesterday still sluggish on hole shot reaching 50mph at 4900rpm water pressure reads 13 psi top's should be reaching 60mph. Only thing done prior to fuel pump was replaced primer bulb & hose with an ''attwood'' thinking I need to put a merc bulb on have heard negative things about the attwood bulbs. *** Any Other Ideas to check before she goes back to the shop? *** Thanks for the help

Do a comp check first thing. If its good, hit tha enrichner when your running wfo. If it helps its gonna be fuel related. If not ya may have a switch box, stator, trigger problem. Hard ta say on a computer but I would lean more towards a switch box....jmo

And your right about tha aftermarket bulbs...........

I have the same motor and have experienced a similar problem in the past. Turned out to be the fuel pump diaphragm had a tear in it. You mentioned that you just had the fuel pump rebuilt and that the motor ran fine before. I would definitely start there.

That is kind of like walking on the floor of a new house and seeing the stamp on the decking that says "thi side down". If it was running better before the changes I would definitely backtrack.

Guess I just misunderstood or need ta read "between tha lines"! If it was runnin' fine why have anything done? And why tha pump in peticular? If ya had it done and it went ta hell in a hand basket first time out why not take it back ta whoever worked on it? "Calf rope!"........

Thanks for the info and for all that may need to read between the lines ,,, The fuel bulb is installed correctly ,, will be replacing the attwood with a Merc bulb, The fuel pump was overhauled due to leaking fuel. Faulty plug & wire was the fix.

As long as the Attwood primes well I would hold off.
