put the motor on the muffs,30 45 sec I had a steady stream,not a lot of power this lasted for 60 sec then it went to just a trickle for 15 20 sec then back to the steady stream.Changed the stats and poppet last year,water pump 2 yrs ago will it do better when its in the water?

Keep in mind the recommended interval is once a year for replacement.

But, with what you have stated above, it’s likely just the thermostats opening and closing because of the cold water coming through your water hose. Also keep in mind that the stream coming out is not very strong, but usually very hot.

From what you described, everything sounds good
