With all the slimmie fish in this world....blood and guts in a boat after a catch (possibly), I'll never understand why anyone would want that stuff in a boat. Certainly not me. My Wellcraft had a regular FG floor (still does..) but now covered with Safe Floor. With so many color options available.....well, you get the idea. Just bc your sled came with carpet and now it's messed up, why re-carpet and not something like Safe Floor. No disrespect intended here...just thought I'd ask

That Safe Floor stuff looks neat, but how hot does it get? I'd be worried it'd burn my feet off like playground rubber. Carpet doesn't have that problem, though it does have it's own disadvantages.

The ones I've stood on were not hot at all, one was light grey, one tan. Now if you had a black one, ouch.
Way cooler than carpet.

There are many places and uses for carpet. Boats are not one of them. If you fish, they eventually get nasty, unless you are a bass guy and the fish never hits your deck. In the salt, it holds moisture and mildews. I like to hose it down and its ready for the next trip.
