I have a 2000 Xpress X21 with a 200 Xri Merury on it . Currently my prop shaft is 6" below pad. From what I have read 3.5" below is where to start for setting up for best performance. I currently have 25 p Temptest plus 3 blade on it and also have a Trophy plus four blade 24 pitch. So I need to raise it...any other advice? Thanks!

Internet knowledge is suspect.
Your iron hull can't run as high as a comparable fiberglass, so that's wrong information there.

There is ONLY ONE way to set up your rig, go run it with a regular fishing load, bring the plate up 1/4" at a time until you lose speed, lift or water pressure, then back a click and THEN you'll know where YOUR setup really is.
