There are two brown wires on old float switch, and one brown and one black wire on old bilge. New combo bilge/float switch has three wires, red, black and brown. Where do I connect each wire to?

Thanks,

Red goes to + battery for auto bilge. Others connect same as old wires.

What do I do with the brown wires that are now running to the old float switch? Wire the red wire into both of them? If I leave the brown wires connected to the old float switch, the bilge will run constantly, even when there is no water in the boat.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks Gary,

What you described is one of the brown wires, where do I connect the other brown wire to?
