Took out the boat today and the motor didn't seem right. When we took off we just didn't have much power and it took awhile to get to full speed. When we got to our first spot we had a good size gas/oil slick behind motor. And when we were loading the boat we barely had enough power to get the boat on the trailer. Boat started right up and when we finally got to full speed it seemed fine just didn't have much power today. Any ideas? Thanks

Lots of things could be wrong. One is that you may have lost power on a cylinder (or more). If a cylinder isn't firing, the gas/oil that should have burned goes out the exhaust port - and can be a source of the slick you saw. Losing a cylinder will also result in less power of course.
Pull the plugs and inspect them for differences. If you aren't mechanically inclined on this stuff, you probably need help in "reading the plugs" and diagnosis of the problem. Don't over-tighten spark plugs - the torque spec is usually not high.
