I've got a couple lights out and want to just go ahead and re-wire the whole trailer, switch to LED lights, and add some backup lights.

Should I bother trying to find LED modules that fit in the existing holes in the trailer, or should I just look for flat modules that I can mount over the existing holes?

They make LED lights to match/ fit most existing mounts. I just found the LED marker lights to fit my boat at Wally World.

I have had good luck finding LED lights that will fit in the existing mounts at an 18 wheeler parts center. They sell a variety of marker lights and most have a lifetime warranty.
