Anyone ever have one of these go out after 1 year of use? I replaced both last year and this weekend smelt fuel all day, I pulled the cowling and the bottom was leaking fuel w/o the engine running. I couldn't tell if the fuel was coming from behind the pump or from the bottom, but all 3 Philips head screws needed a half turn to a full turn to tighten. Is it normal for these screws to be loose and could that be where the fuel was coming from? Boat didn't run bad other than idle and hard cold start.

These pumps are [censored]. They go bad all the time. Most of the time people don't even realize the diaphragm is bad and they keep running their boats.

They are junk I had one I put on brand new that was bad so I spent $150 and converted mine to a Holley electric fuel pump and been going strong now for 2 yrs with no issues. After installing it my idle smoothed out as well.
