Narrowed down what will suit me the best, aluminum CC boat, low funnel style like Xpress, Excel, War Eagle, etc. Now looking for advice on construction, one price hull vs keel welded, .100 vs .125 alumni., etc. Any personal history, good or bad, would be appreciated greatly.

Thicker is always better. If you're looking for a coast type hull, go to the coast and look. Empire, Gandy White, and more all build much more durable boats for crushing oyster reefs and running in really shallow flats.

They ride rougher than a glass boat but the upkeep is easier/less to worry about. At least I think. I don't have a CC but I love my aluminum bass boat!
